December 03 2025

AUBURN, Ala.- I-PEX USA Manufacturing, Inc., a longstanding injection molding and stamping company, is investing nearly $3 million in its Auburn operation and plans to add several related jobs over the next two years.

"I-PEX continues to innovate and bring value to the automotive industry, currently working on new business development toward 2030,” I-PEX President Yugo Maeda said. “We appreciate the trust of our customers allowing us to plan for the future, and we are deeply grateful for the continued support we are receiving in Auburn."

I-PEX specializes in small precision, overmolded parts, striving for “perfection in precision.” Its parent company — headquartered in Kyoto, Japan, originally under the name Dai-ichi Seiko Co., Ltd. — was established in 1963 serving the automotive, electronics connectors and semiconductor industries.

Today, the group employs about 4,500 people and globally generates sales of over $500 million.

"Congratulations to the Auburn I-PEX team for their success in bringing additional business to their Alabama operation," Auburn Mayor Ron Anders said. "We are grateful for the leadership and support they receive from their headquarters in Japan that facilitates their success here in Auburn."

Formerly known as Touchstone Precision, I-PEX opened its doors in Auburn in 2000. The company currently employs about 65 people at its operation in the Auburn Technology Park South.
